"Postcards" is a dramatic piece for two actors. In the early 1900s, two best friends begin corresponding when Ed/Edna leaves the small town of Mullan, ID, for the big city of Seattle. The best communication they have is postcards. As they correspond back and forth, their friendship is tried by hardship, new relationships, loss, and, of course, distance. Are words on a postcard enough to keep these two close? Each role has 10 lines of dialogue, including monologue-length lines, and 14 vocal solos. Written for M/F or F/F casting.
